Getting Started
Three things stand between you and a bot that follows your rules: an account, a connected exchange, and the bot itself. The whole setup takes ten or twenty minutes, and none of it asks you to write a line of code.
AstraBit gives credits for the first two steps, 10 for registering and 20 for connecting an exchange. Bots are billed by the trading day, so those credits cover part of the running cost while you are still finding your feet. If you have not read Introduction yet, it explains what the platform is before you sign up for it.
Three steps
Create your AstraBit account
Sign up and finish the registration, which includes verifying who you are. AstraBit is a US regulated firm, so that check is not a formality you can skip, and the rest of the platform stays closed until it is done. Finishing it puts your first 10 credits in the account.
Connect an exchange
Open an account on one of the supported exchanges, then connect it to AstraBit with an API key. The key carries permission to trade and nothing else, so your coins stay in your own exchange account for the whole time a bot is running, and you can revoke the key from the exchange whenever you want.
Ten exchanges are supported. Pick whichever you already trust, or the one that lists the pairs you care about.
Choose and launch a bot
Now decide what the bot is going to follow. That can be one of our strategies on the marketplace, somebody else's listing, or a signal of your own from Strategy Lab. Set your position size and your risk limits, point it at the exchange you just connected, and start it.
From here the bot runs on its own and you watch it from the dashboard rather than from the exchange. The Introduction page covers the four kinds of bot in more detail if you are not sure which fits.
Before you start
AstraBit runs its own Academy if you want to go deeper on any of this, and a Help Center for the questions that tend to come up halfway through setting something up. Both are worth a look before you start rather than after something has confused you.
The first bot you run is not the one to be ambitious with. Use it to find out whether the whole chain behaves the way you expect, that the alert arrives, that the order lands, that the size is what you meant. Size that lesson so it costs you very little.
Once you have watched it work a few times, increase on purpose rather than on a good week, and never with money you cannot afford to lose.
